Job Roles and Responsibilities
The SBU Head will oversee and drive sales activities within a designated geographical region, ensuring the attainment of sales targets and market penetration in the agricultural sector. This role requires strategic planning, leadership, and a strong understanding of the agricultural market dynamics. In addition, this role will also act as Regional Sales Manager Medan who will be leading and driving the Crop Protection business in the Medan area.
Roles and responsibilities -
Formulate and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's objectives to maximize revenue and market share in the agricultural sector.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team within the region.
Provide guidance, mentorship, and ongoing support to ensure the team meets or exceeds sales targets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, agricultural associations, and industry stakeholders to foster business growth.
Address customer concerns, negotiate contracts, and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
Monitor sales metrics and KPIs regularly, preparing and presenting reports on regional sales performance to senior management.
Implement corrective measures and strategies to achieve or surpass sales goals.
Identify new business opportunities and potential markets within the region to expand the company’s product portfolio offerings.
Develop and implement plans to penetrate new markets and increase the company’s market share.
Skills and Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. A Master’s degree is an advantage.
Proven experience of minimum 7 years in sales management within the agricultural industry.
Solid exposure experience in the senior management roles of MNC and/or Local Companies
In-depth knowledge of agricultural products, market trends, and customer behaviors.
Fluent to speaking and writing in English.
Strong communicator, highly energetic with ability to energize teams and drive them to achieve the set objectives.

Result focused- Ability and drive for achieving and surpassing targets against internal or external standards of excellence.
