Job Roles and Responsibilities
The Area Manager Plantation will oversee sales activities within a designated geographical area, focusing majority on Plantation business and some free market of agricultural and services.
Key Responsibilities -
Manage and develop sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets of Plantation within the assigned territory.
Lead, motivate, and guide the sales promoter team to achieve sales objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers in the agricultural sector.
Conduct market analysis and monitor competitor activities to identify new opportunities.
Possess in-depth knowledge of agricultural products, services, and industry trends to effectively communicate offerings to customers.
Train, mentor, and provide continuous support to sales promotor to enhance their skills and product knowledge.
Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and forecasts for management review.
Collaborate with marketing, operations, and other departments to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall company goals.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
Travel within the assigned territory to meet customers and oversee sales activities.
Skills and Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
Proven experience of minimum 3 years as Area/District Manager within the Plantation business.
Solid experience in the entry level managerial roles of MNC and/or Local Companies.
In-depth knowledge of agricultural products, market trends, and customer behaviors..
Fluent to speak and write in English.
Knowledge on Plantation Market, Agriculture Industry Knowledge, Brand Management, Territory Analysis, Crop vs Product Matrix, Competition Updates, Marketing Excellence, Business / Commercial Acumen.
Strong communicator, highly energetic with ability to energize teams and drive them to achieve the set objectives.
Result focused- Ability and drive for achieving and surpassing targets against internal or external standards of excellence.
Ability to foresee future challenges as well as business opportunities and taking the precautionary / progressive steps towards it.
